Neighborhood Physician Alliance: A Member of Banner Health Network Bringing Quality Healthcare Home to the Neighborhood
Formed from the merging of two local, well-respected physician organizations-- Arizona Integrated Physicians and Banner Physician Hospital Organization-- Neighborhood Physician Alliance is dedicated to advancing quality care at an affordable cost with a great patient experience throughout Maricopa County.
The Alliance was founded with the vision to create a differentiated single, unified market-wide independent physician organization supporting practice transformation to achieve:
Consistent, reliable, coordinated patient experience with improved accessibility
Improved quality scores (ACO, STARS, HEDIS and other measures)
Lower cost of care through appropriate utilization, in network referrals and primary prevention
The Alliance has established eight distinct neighborhoods of care. Each neighborhood includes a full spectrum of services including primary care, specialty care and ancillary services, like laboratory and home health, designed to serve the Banner Health Network members who reside in the neighborhood. Most neighborhoods also include a Banner Health Center and at least one Banner Medical Center.
The strength of Banner Health Network (BHN) stands behind Alliance providers with unique population health tools and resources available exclusively to the providers who comprise Arizona’s largest Accountable Care Organization (ACO). Each physician neighborhood will have a support team of valuable resources available to them:
An assistant medical director
A Risk Adjustment Factor (RAF) educator
A provider relations representative
Case management expertise
BHN also offers Alliance providers important resources like:
Member Experience Center, a 24-hour nurse triage line
Provider Experience Center, a customer service helpline
Group purchasing agreements through Premier
Discounts on electronic health record solutions (Cerner Ambulatory, eClinicalWorks)
Access to TeleHealth services for patients
